Programmes · Teachers and education leaders

Professional development inside UK classrooms.

Professional development for international educators. Participants observe live lessons in British schools, meet senior staff and deliver a lesson themselves, with structured feedback. Every programme is shaped around the group's subject, level and goals.

/02What participants do

What the programme includes

  1. 01

    Classroom observation

Direct observation of live lessons in UK schools, when the programme falls in UK school term time.

  2. 02

    Professional dialogue

Discussions with heads of department and school leaders about teaching methods, assessment and the challenges schools face.

  3. 03

    Teaching practice

The chance to teach in a real classroom, followed by structured feedback from peers and mentors. Like observation, this depends on UK school term time.

  4. 04

    Academic sessions

Sessions on the principles behind effective teaching. In August 2026, a group of English teachers attended sessions in a University of Cambridge lecture theatre, including one on how to design tests that are valid, reliable and fair.

  5. 05

    Practical workshops

Experienced UK teachers model classroom techniques, from warm-up activities to ways of getting quieter students speaking. Then they hand over, and participants try each activity themselves.

  6. 06

    Visits for school leaders

We arrange visits for school leaders and education delegations, with meetings tailored to what each group wants to learn. Visits like this are often where longer-term partnerships with UK schools begin.
